Tai Chi
TAI CHI classes are offered at our Senior Center on Fridays. TAI CHI is an ancient Chinese form of movement and motion that improves your cardiovascular fitness, strengthens muscles, aids flexibility, relieves stress, and helps you find balance in life, both mentally and physically. Cost is $60.00 for eight sessions, $48.00 for 6 weeks, or $10.00 drop in rate. Classes are on Fridays at 10:00 AM. If you're looking for a great stress reliever, plan on joining the group on Fridays.


Line Dancing
Cookie Henry volunteers her time every other Wednesday at 10:30 AM to instruct line dancing here at our center. Come and have some fun, and get a little exercise too!
Needlework & Quilting
Bring in a project to work on and join in the fun. If you enjoy sewing and putting together Quilts, then come to the center on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm to join the quilters as they magically turn pieces of material into beautiful comforters and room decorations. On Fridays at 1:00 p.m. we have a group of people that work on a variety of needlework projects and would welcome any new comers. Join the group on Fridays for needlework and Tuesdays for Quilting.


Stain Glass Class
Gary Cook, the stain glass instructor will be at the senior center on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM to help you on your stain glass projects. Come to the senior center on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 1:00 PM to learn how to create stain glass artwork.
Potlucks & Bingo
We have a potluck and bingo at the center about once a month. Everyone enjoys getting out to visit with old friends and to meet new ones. All you have to do is bring a dish to pass and a bingo prize (minimum value of a $4.00, new prizes please), we supply the main dish and tableware. Call the center at 468-3366 to find out when the next potluck is and plan on joining us for a fun afternoon. All are welcome!


Pickleball
Join Geroge Walker on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM to learn how to play pickleball. Our pickleball court is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Chair Exercise Program
Become a "Stonger Senior" with Anne Pringle Burnell's DVD on Mondays, Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. This is a chair exercise DVD program that will help you to improve your ability to be stable and balanced, to stay mobile, to go up and down stairs, to squat and pick something up and to play with your grandchildren. Join us!


Group Exercise Program
Join Linda LaGrow and a group of dedicated seniors on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM and Thursday afternoons at 12:30 PM for a light workout using bands and bodyweight only! During the summer months the Thursday class will start at 11:00 AM.
Cards
If you enjoy playing cards, we have different games going on almost daily.
Pinochle on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.
Duplicate Bridge on Thursdays at 12:00 p.m.
Hand and Foot on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 a.m.
Enjoy the camaraderie and an afternoon of fun.


Yoga
Vicki Shoemaker, a licensed yoga instructor, is here at the senior center on Mondays at 1:00 PM and Thursdays at 1:30. The cost is $5.00 per class and payable to Vicki. Yoga is a great way for seniors to stretch and maintain their strength and balance. Please bring a yoga mat with you.
Outdoor Walking
Outdoor Walking takes place at the senior center on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am. The group meets to enjoy a relaxed walk together in a safe and friendly environment. This activity is free to join and open to all seniors. Outdoor walking helps improve cardiovascular health, mobility, balance, and overall well-being while providing a great opportunity to socialize and stay active. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle.


Tap Class
Pat Culver will be here on Thursdays starting at 10:30 AM for tap class. The class is $20 for 4 weeks.
Miscellaneous Programs
Throughout the year speakers present programs on a variety of subjects, we also have local schools come in throughout the year to share their talents with us. These special programs are listed in our newsletter or on our website.
